Star Loans is licensed by the financial regulatory entities in each state in which we operate. This includes Texas, Oklahoma, Utah and New Mexico.

We are not a payday lender
- Star Loans does not require a checking account.
- All loans, including title loans, are set up on monthly payment plan. Plans vary from four to twelve months.
- Star Loans does not auto-draft accounts.

J.E. Funderburk with his wife, Sherri
Born in Alabama and raised in South Carolina, J.E. Funderburk attended Clemson University from 1966 until 1969. He then joined the Army Security Agency and served for 3 years, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. Upon completion of his military service, he began working in the consumer finance industry.
In 1996, after 25 years in the industry, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of starting his own company. Star Loans was founded with one simple mission - to provide the best customer service in the industry while training the best employees in the industry. The belief has always been that you can dream and create, but it requires the right people with unquestionable integrity for a dream to become a reality. Star Loans continues to operate based on that simple mission today.
Mr. Funderburk continues to serve as President and CEO of Star Loans.
